February
FESTIVAL
Time!
Mardi Gras, Carnival, Oktoberfest, Tomatina etc.
Carnaval - Truly and not mistakenly the biggest party in the world, hands down. Join 4 million people, yes that's not a typo, for a fiesta Brazilian style that goes on pretty much the entire month. February is the best time to go for a lot of reasons. Carnaval is the obvious but the weather is nice and hot (warmest time of year), the night scene is out of control and the entire region is high on life (and other things) because of the holiday. Mardi Gras - Head down to the French Quarter for a Bayou Bash like you have never seen before. Arrive on the at least a day before ''Fat Tuesday'' so you can be sure to not miss a thing. Yes you will see boobs, yes you will party til 4 a.m., and yes you will be hungover but the Cajun food will soak it all up and is the best on the planet. Top Spots

Cartegena is Columbia's top tourist destination and 99% of that is because of the vibrant nightlife it possesses. Zona Rosa has tons of bars and nightclubs and with all different genres from salsa to electronic music. Some of the best looking people in the world visit Cartegena all year long but I recommend going during their dry season which is from December to April. Pick up some ''flirtatious'' Spanish and hit the gym before going and you will be sure to lock down an amazing couple of days. Columbia is also a big participant in the Carnaval celebration

''Floripa'' - Known as a surf destination by many, but the nightlife itself is a whole other animal this Brazilian beauty has to offer. Spend the day at the beaches packed with sun and Brazilian bombshells strolling the sand and grab an afternoon nap because the night turns into a mini-Vegas and everything that comes with it (big clubs, hot people, & ''Ladies Free'' style of entry). If you want to still celebrate Carnaval but not with the massive crowd of Rio, Florinopolis is still an excellent choice.

Buenos Aires' night scene is comparable to the top major cities in the world. Clubs don't even open until around 1 a.m. or after for God sakes! Argentinians are known for their ''life is a party'' attitude and they sure know how to exemplify this in Buenos Aires. Electronic Dance Music (EDM) has hit this ''city of the night'' by storm and assures there is never a dull moment (locally called boliches). One of the best parts is that despite Buenos Aires being such an electrifying and top party destination in the world, the typical ''snobby'' attitude that goes with it doesn't exist here.
